Desktop Administrator

Duties and Responsibilities

• Consulting with users to determine hardware and software needs.
• Administer Network end user accounts. Create new user accounts.
• Manage access privileges of end users and maintain appropriate levels of security for various network resources.
• Develop and implement environment monitoring to ensure compliance with licensing, security, and configuration requirements.
• Assist with development and implementation of approved standards, policies, processes, and procedures that ensure stable, secure, and cost-effective end user computing environment.
• Assist with development and implementation of distribution packages to install software for desktop and laptop computers.
• Have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the ticket tracking system and asset inventory system.
• Conduct testing, troubleshooting and maintain user equipment.
• Work with vendors on warranty registration and replacements.
• Assist Network Administrator with Server and Network Management (when applicable).
• Respond to user’s needs in a prompt, courteous, professional manner.
• Establish and maintain effective professional working relationship with co-workers, and every level of management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
