Shifts : 8-Hour Guard Shack Security (3 : 30pm - 11 : 30pm or 11 : 30pm - 7 : 30am)

Pay : Competitive $16.50 / hour

Requirements : Active Delaware Yellow Guard Card

About the Role

We are seeking reliable and professional Unarmed Security Officers to join our guard house security team. This position is responsible for serving as the first line of safety, deterring suspicious activity, and providing excellent customer service to residents and guests in a gated community. Officers must remain alert, observant, and proactive while maintaining a visible and professional security presence.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and random vehicle patrols of assigned properties.
• Monitor for safety hazards, suspicious activity, trespassing, or policy violations.
• Accurately complete patrol reports, incident reports, and daily activity logs.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or service calls as directed.
• Maintain communication with dispatch and supervisors throughout shift.
• Provide excellent customer service while enforcing property rules and regulations.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred but not required.

Must be able to work overnight hours and remain alert throughout the shift.

Ability to walk, stand, and drive for extended periods.

Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Must be able to pass background check and drug screening.

Position Summary

A Signal Patrol Guard will conduct patrols, (foot and vehicle) for courtyards, offices, pools, retail, and other high value areas to ensure all required access points are properly secured and to ensure protection of property, customers, residents, and staff with a high degree of attentiveness to details and safety.
