Schedule Details : Nights, including 8 and 12-hour shifts, with every third weekend rotation and holiday rotation.

Sign-On Bonus : $15,000 for 3rd Shift Nurses

Unit Overview : Join our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit , where you will care for a diverse patient population, including :

Post-operative patients from craniotomies, AVM surgeries, and tumor resections.

Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeries.

Patients from our Comprehensive Stroke Program, including hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes.

A high volume of cervical and spinal surgery patients, along with medical overflow cases.

What You'll Do :

Deliver coordinated, evidence-based patient care through the nursing process.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and compassionate care.

Apply clinical judgment and critical thinking to support optimal patient outcomes.

Contribute to improving patient experience across the healthcare continuum.

Major Responsibilities :

Assess patient needs and implement individualized care plans.

Recognize and act on significant changes in patient's conditions.

Reduce patient risk and ensure their safety.

Coordinate interdisciplinary discharge plans effectively.

Evaluate patient outcomes and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Communicate effectively and promote collaboration among team members.

Licensure, Registration, and Certification Requirements :

Registered Nurse license in the practicing state.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Education and Experience Requirements :

Completion of an accredited nursing program.

Typically requires at least 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required :

Ability to provide holistic patient care with a family focus.

Proficiency in recognizing changes requiring prompt intervention.

Strong computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to develop rapport with patients and collaborate effectively.

Critical decision-making skills under pressure.

Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and work under interruptions.

Team building and delegation skills.

Physical Requirements :

Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, reaching, and pushing / pulling.

Exposure to chemical and hazardous waste; use protective equipment as needed.

Functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch required.
