About the Position

LocumJobsNetwork is working with Wellhart, LLC to find a qualified Emergency Medicine MD in Mount Vernon, Illinois, 62864!

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a 12-week locum tenens assignment in Illinois, starting Nov 3, 2025. The role involves handling critical procedures in a Trauma Emergency Department with full-service support. Shifts include both day and night rotations, ensuring comprehensive care delivery.

Job Details

  • Schedule : Shifts from 7a-7p and 7p-7a; detailed monthly schedules available upon credentialing

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage all procedures required in a Trauma ED
  • Perform ventilation management, intubation, and insertion of central lines
  • Work collaboratively with a full support team including General Surgery, Urology, OB, Cardiac, Trauma, and Orthopedics
  • Participate in a fully staffed Hospitalist Program

    • Additional Information

  • Must have at least 2 years of relevant Emergency Room experience
  • Required to be board-certified in Emergency Medicine
  • Illinois medical license required
  • EMR used : Epic
