Schedule Details :

Nights

8 and 12 hr shifts

Every third weekend rotation

Holiday rotation

Sign-On Bonus : $15,000 for 3rd Shift

Unit Overview :

Join our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit , where you'll care for a diverse patient population including :

Post-operative craniotomies for bleed evacuation, AVMs, and tumor resections

Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeries

Hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke patients as part of our Comprehensive Stroke Program

High volume of cervical and spinal surgery patients

As part of the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII) , you’ll gain exposure to the latest neurosurgical techniques.

What You’ll Do :

Provide comprehensive, evidence-based patient care using the nursing process

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure compassionate care

Use critical thinking and clinical judgment for optimal patient outcomes

Major Responsibilities :

Assess patient needs and implement individualized care plans

Recognize changes in patient conditions and adjust care accordingly

Promote patient safety and actively coordinate discharge plans

Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care

Licensure and Education Requirements :

Registered Nurse license from the relevant state

BLS for Healthcare Providers certification

Completion of an accredited Nursing program

Experience Required :

Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

Holistic patient care approach with strong communication skills

Proficient in electronic medical records and computer skills

Excellent organization, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities

Physical and Working Requirements :

Must be able to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing

May work with hazardous materials and communicable diseases
