Entry-Level Wastewater Engineer

Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized leader in engineering and architecture consulting, is seeking a highly motivated Wastewater Engineer. With over a century of engineering excellence and a commitment to solving our clients' most complex challenges, we are looking for a dynamic individual to join our expanding water services team.

This role will offer the opportunity to assist in providing technical support and problem-solving services to our clients, addressing challenges in wastewater treatment and helping to drive the development of innovative and advanced solutions through process modeling, application of process technologies and dedicated research efforts. Client types will vary from large to small public agencies to Fortune 500 private companies. The position will also be a team member in multiple project delivery methods including design / bid / build, design / build and engineering / procurement / construction (EPC) where Mead & Hunt is the prime contractor and consultant.

Responsibilities :

• Lead and contribute (as part of a team) in the development of technical solutions in water and wastewater treatment, ensuring they meet client needs and treatment performance expectations and at times a performance guarantee.
• Lead the development (in collaboration with a team) with process design calculations, including mass and energy balances, utilizing advanced modeling software.
• Engage in research and application of innovative approaches to water / wastewater treatment, focusing on water reuse and both aerobic and anaerobic wastewater processes.
• Collaborate with team members across company groups, within One Water departments, contributing to multi-disciplinary projects and initiatives.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations, effectively communicating complex technical information to non-specialist audiences.
• Assist with the performing of treatment system commissioning and startup services including operator training.
• Review and research existing and upcoming treatment design and equipment systems to achieve treatment performance parameters.
