Our interns engage in various work assignments, projects, and activities of varying complexity to enable them to gain the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform at a professional level. Our interns provide support to professional employees working in an organizational function related to the intern's area of study.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities :

• This individual will be tasked with learning about the warehousing and logistics capabilities of tkSCS
• Their "project" will require them to train and learn about the functionality of packaging / load optimization software, transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and network optimization software.
• This individual should be a Junior, as we would like to develop the over the course of the next year and a half so that they can be hired on as a "4PL" analyst.
• There will be opportunities for this individual to travel to other TK offices in order to collaborate with other groups (TMC, NBD, Finance, IT, etc) but will be based out of BTN.
• Learns organizational processes and procedures
• Contributes to assigned projects and may assist with the development and maintenance of documentation or records
• Works in team environment, communicating as required with all personnel
• Assembles information in a timely and efficient manner
• Responds to telephone calls and emails
• Collaborates with staff and departments in preparing special projects
• Meets TKMNA Employee Attributes / Competencies
