[job_card.job_description]Work night shifts 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM on a 3x12 hour schedule Weekend coverage required every other weekend as needed Patient ratios : 5 patients during days / weekends, 6 patients during nights Float to all medical surgical floors and potentially rehabilitation unit Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including CHF exacerbations, respiratory illness, arrhythmias, general surgery, orthopedic cases, COPD, and sepsis Work with stable open heart surgery patients transferred from ICU (typically day 4-5 post-op) Float to floors caring for stroke patients and peritoneal dialysis patients Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required Required certifications : ACLS and BLS (AHA or ARC only) Epic charting system experience required Previous charge experience preferred Must work 2 of 3 major holidays with no time off between Christmas and New Year's Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract 8-hour orientation with 5-6 hours of pre-start modules Tobacco and fragrance-free facility May care for COVID patients Special equipment includes Artisight virtual nurses and virtual sitters No license hits accepted Extensive skills required including telemetry monitoring, IV management, wound care, chest tube management, and cardiac care Referral bonus
