Overview:

In this position you will be responsible for managing bid requests, preparing accurate project estimates, tracking bids and following up, and supporting project managers with change order requests and material purchasing.

Position: Estimator - New Construction

Compensation: $85,000 - $110,000 salary, depending on experience

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday

Work Hours: 6:00am - 2:30pm

Position overview:

• Review project specifications, blueprints, and technical documents to determine project scope and requirements
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment
• Develop competitive and accurate bids that align with company goals and client expectations
• Work closely with the Plumbing Construction Manager and Project Managers to ensure estimates reflect project requirements
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing and materials availability
• Track bid submissions, outcomes, and closing ratios, providing reports to the Plumbing Construction Manager

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of commercial plumbing estimating experience. (A background with infield installation experience is desired)
• Strong ability to understand and interpret blueprints and manage multiple projects at once.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong work ethic and must be a self-starter.
• Detail oriented and highly organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Intermediate or Advanced experience with computer software.
• Positive attitude.
