Join our dedicated team in the Orthopedics & Spine Unit, where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and exceptional care to patients and their families. We are looking for a skilled Clinical Nurse II to work 36 hours a week on the night shift.
In this rewarding position, you will :
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, and perform essential treatments and procedures while documenting care as per established policies and regulations.
- Order and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess and understand patients' conditions.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and reactions to care.
- Utilize sound nursing judgment to manage patient care effectively.
- Provide both primary and emergency care for a range of patient injuries and illnesses.
- Administer prescribed medications and over-the-counter treatments as needed.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to design and implement individualized Plans of Care for all patients.
- Direct and support ancillary personnel while upholding professional nursing standards.
Minimum Qualifications :
Graduation from a professional nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree).Current NYS Registered Nurse license.Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required.1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is preferred.Strong communication, organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.Ability to apply knowledge of quality improvement concepts, principles, and problem-solving techniques in patient care.Thank you for considering a career with Albany Medical Center—we value your interest!
