[job_card.job_description]Current Licensed Practical Nurse license issued by the State of Michigan Board of Nursing. Successful completion of an accredited nursing program. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred (home health, medical, surgical or critical care). Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to compassionate care. Employment options : Full-time Shifts : 12-hour shifts available on Night Shift (4 : 45 pm – 5 : 15 am). Weekends : Rotating weekend schedule required for full-time, every 3rd weekend. Pay Rate : $32.90 – $36.40 / hour (based on length of licensure). Additional Pay : Night Shift Differential is an additional $3.00 / hour. Job Title : Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Location : Wellspring Skilled Nursing and Rehab - Monroe Reports to : Nurse Supervisor / DON Position Type : Full-Time | Hourly Wellspring is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to serving seniors, families and children throughout Michigan. We are currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our nursing team at our skilled nursing and rehab campus in Monroe. In this role, you will provide high-quality, hands-on care to residents in a supportive, team-based environment. Responsibilities
- Provide quality nursing care to residents in an environment which promotes their rights, dignity, freedom of choice, and their individuality
- Keep Nursing Directors up to date on resident’s status and other related material
- Communicate and interact effectively and tactfully with the resident, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors
- Perform all job responsibilities in accordance with prescribed safety and infection control procedures including thorough hand washing, use of disposable gloves where indicated, and proper disposal of soiled materials
- Respond to inquiries relating to his / her particular area or to requests from residents, visitors, other personnel, etc. within given time frames and within established policy
- Responsible for the supervision of all nursing activities on the unit
- Responsible for the interpretation and adherence of the policies and procedures for the personnel, patients, medical staff and public
- Make daily resident visits to observe and evaluate the resident’s physical and emotional status
