[job_card.job_description]Serve as liaison between the station and regional accounting team on reporting Assist with forecasting and budgeting of revenues and operating expenses Payroll Prepare monthly payroll reports from ADP Human Resources Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes Administer leave and workers' compensation programs Support employee benefits administration Manage employee data through Oracle HCM Oversee performance management processes Support labor relations under union collective bargaining agreements Accounts Payable & Expenses Review and approve purchasing card, travel, and entertainment expenses Maintain local operating contracts Oversee real estate and sales / use tax reporting Asset Management Track, tag, and dispose of fixed assets Oversee periodic physical inventory Strong ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities Highly detail-oriented and organized Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide recommendations Ability to work independently with minimal supervision 5+ years of accounting / finance experience Previous HR experience required; PHR / SPHR / SHRM-CP / SCP certification a plus Payroll experience strongly preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Experience with accounting and HR software applications such as Oracle (HCM & EPBCS), Wide Orbit, and ADP Related experience, education, training, or military experience will be considered as well as a combination of education and experience Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage 401(k) with company match Paid Time Off and Paid Parental Leave Emotional Wellness Support LGBTQ+ Health Services Additional benefits tailored to meet your personal and family needs
Business And Human Resources Manager
Des Moines' News Leader, KCCI, the Hearst-owned CBS affiliate, is seeking a Business and Human Resources Manager. This is a key leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives on both numbers and people. The position blends finance / accounting responsibilities with human resources management, offering a unique opportunity to make an impact across multiple functions in a fast-paced environment.
You will support our employees and manage core HR activities, while also partnering with our regional finance team on monthly closings, forecasts and annual budget processes. The successful candidate will be highly organized, analytical and an excellent communicator who enjoys working collaboratively across departments as well as thriving in our in-office environment located in downtown Des Moines.
What You'll Do
- General Business Functions
Interpret and communicate financial results
Support bi-weekly and weekly payroll review, processing, and reconciliation through ADP
Manage employee relations and provide HR support across the organization
Process and approve invoices
Manage fleet operations
