Insurance Defense Attorney

Civil Defense Attorney - Oklahoma City, OK

A well-established Oklahoma City law firm is seeking an Civil Defense Attorney to join its litigation team. The ideal candidate will have experience handling a range of civil defense matters, including personal injury, liability, construction, labor & employment or commercial claims. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney to join a respected firm known for its trial experience and collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active membership and good standing with the Oklahoma Bar
  • 3+ years of civil defense litigation experience
  • Strong knowledge of Oklahoma civil procedure and court rules
  • Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
  • Ability to handle all aspects of litigation, including discovery, depositions, and trial preparation
  • Trial or arbitration experience preferred but not required
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills

    • Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in a variety of civil defense cases, including personal injury, liability, construction, labor & employment or commercial claims
  • Manage cases from inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, and motion practice
  • Conduct and defend depositions and prepare witnesses for testimony
  • Draft and argue motions and other court filings
  • Attend mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials
  • Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel regarding case strategy and progress
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective defense strategies and deliver high-quality client service
