As the Deputy Manager, you will work alongside the Group Supervisor to define the team's vision and effectively manage its resources and execution. Your responsibilities will include :
- Leading Projects & Innovation : Act as a principal investigator or project technical lead on advanced electronics and electrical fabrication projects.
- Ensuring Excellence in Delivery : Oversee technical responsibilities, balance workloads, and guarantee adherence to best practices in quality and process management, while addressing sponsor requirements.
- Strategic Planning & Resource Management : Assist in budget forecasting and resource allocation to ensure efficient and cost-effective project execution.
- Shaping the Future : Create and uphold a vision and strategy that aligns with departmental priorities, advancing capabilities through science and technology projects that reflect APL's strategic goals.
- Developing & Mentoring Talent : Recruit, mentor, and retain a skilled technical team, establish clear performance expectations, support career development, and cultivate the next generation of leaders.
- Fostering Collaboration & Culture : Build and maintain strong relationships across APL and with partners, promoting a workplace culture of innovation, excellence, collaboration, and respect.

Qualifications :
You are a dynamic leader who thrives in multidisciplinary settings, driving mission impact through a combination of innovation, execution, and people management .
Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field OR possess 8+ years of relevant technical experience.Bring hands-on expertise in areas such as PCB development, component assembly, electrical fabrication, micro / nanoelectronics, and / or 3D electronics printing.Have 2+ years of supervisory experience, including the mentorship and development of technical teams.Exhibit strong leadership, organizational, and planning abilities along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.Excel in building relationships and collaborating effectively with team members, clients, suppliers, and upper management.Be eligible for an Interim Secret level security clearance by your start date and possess the ability to obtain a Top Secret level clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.You’ll Stand Out With :
A Master's Degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field.Demonstrated experience in developing innovations and proposals while working hands-on in electronics building.At least 12 years of relevant work experience.An active Top Secret security clearance.About Us :

Compensation :
Minimum Rate : $105,000 Annually
Maximum Rate : $290,000 Annually
