About the Job
We are looking for a Ford Field Service Technician to support our customers with onsite service and repair needs.
This position handles maintenance, diagnostics, and installations in the field, requiring a mix of technical expertise and strong customer interaction.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in automotive service and the ability to work independently while delivering professional, high-quality results.
Responsibilities
Provide on-site support and service for customer vehicles
Perform diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance using modern diagnostic tools
Complete inspections and document findings accurately
Carry out light and medium-duty repairs in :
Electrical systems and brakes
Heating / air conditioning
Drivetrain, suspension, and steering
Engines and transmissions (gas and diesel)
Prepare and submit accurate repair orders and reports
Identify maintenance needs, warranty issues, and product upgrades
Collaborate with management and team members to resolve technical issues
Provide customers with training and guidance when necessary
Operate all shop and field equipment safely and maintain a clean work environment
Consistently meet or exceed efficiency goals of 85%
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
At least 2 years of experience in a light or medium-duty automotive service facility
Experience in one or more categories : Automobile (A1-9), Medium / Heavy Truck (T1-8), School Bus (S1-7), Transit Bus (H1-8)
Ability to earn a CDL with passenger and air brake endorsements
ASE certifications (or ability to pass tests) required
Solid diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Professional demeanor with strong communication and customer service skills
Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
Physical Requirements
Lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
Frequent kneeling, squatting, stooping, crawling, and climbing
Manual dexterity to work with tools and parts
Ability to maintain a valid CDL, including medical exam and driving requirements
