Job Description

Certified Surgical Technologist - Open Heart Experience Required

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift : 06 : 30 AM - 05 : 30 PM

On call requirements during the week (typically 2 days) and weekends (every 2nd to 3rd weekend). One On Call Holiday if applicable.

Job Description

The Certified Surgical Technologist plays a critical role in the operating room, specifically in open heart surgeries. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in surgical settings and a strong commitment to patient safety and care.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in surgical procedures as a vital member of the surgical team.
  • Prepare and maintain the sterile field by ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are available and in working condition.
  • Collaborate with surgeons and nursing staff to provide optimal patient care.
  • Adhere to all safety and health regulations to ensure the well-being of patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist is required.
  • Open heart surgical experience is required.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
