Opportunity
Naveris is seeking a motivated Vendor Integration Specialist to join our growing Data Operations team. In this full-time, hybrid role based in Waltham, MA, you will report to and collaborate with our Product Manager to design and deliver end-to-end solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a system being built from the ground up, optimize data assets, and implement modern tools and practices in a dynamic environment.

Job Responsibilities
Reporting to the Product Manager, you will support the Data Solutions team by designing, building, and maintaining scalable integration solutions that connect Salesforce with internal and external systems. Duties include :
Integration Architecture & Development :
- Design and build scalable, efficient integration solutions connecting Salesforce with EHR systems, internal databases, Heroku apps, and third-party APIs.
- Develop robust middleware and backend services using Python or Java deployed on AWS (e.g., Lambda, EC2).
- Ensure adherence to Salesforce limits regarding API callouts, concurrency, and bulk data processing.
Technical Design and Collaboration :
Create detailed technical design documents, including API specifications (Swagger / OpenAPI), data mapping, and sequence diagrams.Participate in architectural reviews to ensure data integrity and proper handling of healthcare standards (HL7, FHIR).Foster a strong engineering culture through collaboration and mentorship on integration patterns and backend logic.Optimization and Security :
Identify and implement performance improvements for data throughput and API latency.Ensure compliance with best practices for security (OAuth, mTLS), encryption, and PII / PHI data handling.Optimize data synchronization processes to prevent race conditions and ensure data consistency.System Monitoring and Tools :
Monitor integration health, API usage, Heroku compute, and error logs using observability tools (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Splunk, or Salesforce Shield).Manage and optimize the Redox integration configuration and monitor data flow health.Requirements
Technical Expertise :
Proficiency in Salesforce Apex development for building integrations, including REST / SOAP services, Platform Events, Connected Apps, and Change Data Capture.Deep familiarity with Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud standard objects and processes.Proven experience designing and maintaining scalable Salesforce integrations using established integration patterns and best practices.Strong expertise in healthcare interoperability standards, specifically HL7 v2 / v3 and FHIR.Experience with Python, .Net and Java for building supporting services, external scripts, microservices, and data transformations.Familiarity with Heroku custom applications and their integration with Salesforce.Expertise in handling API authentication standards (OAuth 2.0, JWT, SAML).Ability to diagnose and remediate integration failures across Salesforce, middleware, and vendor systems in production environments.Backend & Data Strategy :
Knowledge of SQL and relational database structures, with the ability to write complex queries for data validation.Experience implementing data archiving strategies and hybrid storage solutions involving AWS S3 or Azure Blob Storage.CI / CD and Deployment :
Experience with CI / CD pipelines for both Salesforce and backend code (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Gearset, Copado).Ability to manage version control and deployment strategies for distributed systems.Problem Solving and Collaboration :
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex connectivity issues and data discrepancies in a distributed environment.Strong communication skills with a solution-oriented mindset.Soft Skills :
Self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision.Adaptable team player with a collaborative and proactive communication style.Education :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.Experience :
3-5 years of experience in system integration and backend development, with significant exposure to the Salesforce ecosystem.Proven track record of integrating Salesforce with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, AthenaHealth).Hands-on experience with integration platforms (e.g. Redox) or middleware tools (e.g. Mulesoft) for bidirectional data exchange.Familiarity with ETL processes for managing large data transfers and batch synchronizations.Technical Skills :
Experience with Apex asynchronous processing patterns (Queueable, Batch, Future, Platform Events) for high-volume integrations.Strong understanding of Salesforce governor limits and strategies for designing integrations within those constraints.Strong command of Python and Java integration libraries.Salesforce certifications (e.g., System Architect, Integration Architect, or Platform Developer) are a bonus.Knowledge of HL7 message parsing and generation.Nice to Have :
Practical experience building and / or maintaining Heroku applications.Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).Familiarity with device integration (e.g., Zebra printers, medical IoT) via API.Compliance Responsibilities
