PURPOSE OF POSITION :

To perform a variety of duties in support of Goodwill’s E Commerce store. Supervises E Books and E Commerce staff to ensure that all production and sales goals are met.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Assists in filing items and maintaining the shelves. Supervises floor staff in conjunction with E Books Supervisor and monitors production. Opens and / or closes E Commerce area and sets alarm. Assists in monitoring pre-scan production and addresses individual issues, if necessary. Assists in monitoring offsite program participants scanning books. Troubleshoots problem orders and customer complaints and resolves in a timely fashion for ShopGoodwill and for E Books. Monitors feedback ratings and store performance and tailors operations to ensure compliance. Sorts books by condition in preparation to be scanned. Lists books on the appropriate online marketplaces. Performs shelf maintenance / consolidation when necessary. Follows all listing policies for each online marketplace. Prepares Marketplace and Salvage gaylords and stages product to be sent out. Moves new product into the processing area to sort. Pulls items to be shipped. Runs CDs and DVDs thru disc resurfacer, if necessary. Helps facilitate shipment of sold items, if needed. Assists shipping clerk in answering customer inquiries.

Works overtime as required. Performs other job related duties as required. Safeguards company property, including donated goods. Reports any incidents of theft or unauthorized possession of company property. Acts safely at all times, following all safety rules and regulations. Follows all company policies and procedures. Promotes and demonstrates cooperation and teamwork. Assists and shares knowledge and information with other employees as needed. Uses good interpersonal skills such as courtesy, sensitivity, politeness, and thoughtfulness. Works with, trains, and / or acts as a good example for program participants receiving training at Goodwill.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS :

High school diploma or GED required. (If applicant has no GED, a plan to pursue a GED would need to be established within the first six months on the job.) Forklift certification required. Must be able to distinguish between acceptable and rejected books. Must be somewhat familiar with online book selling practices and procedures. One year previous supervisory experience and / or E Commerce experience. Must be familiar with shipping policies / practices. Must demonstrate above average knowledge of collectibles and E Commerce best practices. Must be able to direct, coach and address issues with staff in accordance with our company values. Intermediate PC skills. Able to operate Indaba and shop goodwill.com software. Able to assist Manager in collecting data to improve overall operations. Must be accurate in describing condition of books online. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds . Must be able to pair items to be shipped with correct invoice. Must be able to independently move book gaylords in and out of processing area. Must be able to work under minimal supervision. Must be able to meet the established production standards set by the E Commerce Business Operations Manager.
