Vehicle Acquisition Agent
Location : Oakes GMC | Kansas City, MO
Schedule : Full-Time | Monday–Friday + rotating Saturdays
Compensation Range : $2,500–$10,000+ per month
About the Role
We’re looking for a driven, competitive, relationship-oriented Vehicle Acquisition Agent to help us source high-quality inventory from private sellers, service customers, and inbound leads. This role plays a key part in keeping our used inventory strong and profitable. What You’ll Do
Prospect and connect with private sellers through outbound calls, digital outreach, and follow-up
Engage service drive customers to generate appraisal opportunities
Build trust and rapport with potential sellers to maximize acquisition opportunities
Conduct accurate vehicle appraisals and valuations
Complete purchase transactions with professionalism and transparency
Hit consistent weekly and monthly acquisition targets
Represent Oakes Auto Group with strong communication, integrity, and a winning attitude
What We’re Looking For
Someone who enjoys talking with people, thrives in a competitive environment, and can stay organized while juggling multiple conversations and deals. You should feel comfortable negotiating, asking direct questions, building rapport quickly, and following a process to hit measurable targets. A background in sales or customer service is helpful, but drive and work ethic matter most.
Requirements
Valid driver’s license with a clean or acceptable driving record
Ability to pass a standard background check
Strong reliability and consistent attendance
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new systems
Previous sales, customer service, or acquisition experience preferred (automotive experience is a plus)
Strong communication and negotiation skills
