TITLE : Total Rewards Specialist
JOB OVERVIEW : The Total Rewards Specialist supports the Total Rewards team in implementation and administration of Valley Medical Center's comprehensive compensation and benefits programs. This role promotes awareness around Valley Medical Center's total rewards philosophy in addition to providing support for team member inquiries pertaining to compensation, benefits and relevant HRIS system navigation.
DEPARTMENT : Human Resources
WORK HOURS : Full-time, typical hours are Monday - Friday 7 : 30 am - 4 : 00 pm, or as needed to accomplish work.
REPORTS TO : Director, Total Rewards
PREREQUISITES :
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or another closely related field, required. Relevant and applicable experience may substitute degree requirement.
Minimum three years of HR, Benefits or Compensation related experience preferred.
Working knowledge of compensation and benefits-related laws and regulations.
Minimum three years of experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.
Must have working knowledge and understanding of total rewards offerings.
Highly proficient with Microsoft Suite including Word and Excel; strong HRIS experience.

Must be a team player demonstrating strong teamwork and collaborative skills while delivering excellent customer service.

Essential Responsibilities and Competencies :
Serves as a resource to new, existing, and former team members as it relates to Valley Medical Center's benefits, compensation, and wellness programs.
Supports Valley Medical Center's commitment to creating a rewarding and inclusive workplace.
Supports the development of and assists with the administration of organization-wide compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they align with Valley Medical Center's goals and industry best practices.
Assist with the compensation process, including merit, incentives, and salary structure updates.
Assist in conducting research and analysis in different areas involving compensation, such as compensation statistics and market analysis.
Assist in conducting position evaluations and job classification, as well as researched inquiries into pay discrepancies.
Complete salary surveys and assist in analyzing results.
Maintains Total Rewards SharePoint to ensure up to date information and documents.
Collaborates with multi-disciplinary teams to develop internal communication avenues regarding benefits and compensation and ensures the accuracy of information posted on company portals or other forms of communication.
Supports and presents benefit information and training regarding online enrollment and benefit plans.
Provide training and presentations in support of New Employee Orientation and other training programs as needed.
Supports company benefits enrollment and builds and maintains relationships with vendors.
Perform necessary audits to ensure compliance with ACA, FLSA, compensation and benefits programs and other legal, state, and federal regulatory guidelines.
Provides advice and guidance to team members on all aspects of Total Rewards, including salary structures, incentive plans, wellness, and team member benefits.
Helps ensure the secure transfer of accurate data and payment of benefit invoices on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Manage and maintain monthly billing as required.
Verifies the accuracy of benefits enrollments during the open enrollment period and throughout the year for all new hires and re-hires.
Provides information to terminated team members regarding COBRA and portable benefits as relevant.
Perform customer service functions via telephone, e-mail and in person in support of Total Rewards programs.
Prepare reports and metrics on Total Rewards Programs as required. Process ad hoc reports as needed.
Provide backup support to benefits and compensation teams as directed.
