Overview
We are seeking candidates for an Investment Editorial Copywriter position with a highly successful investment management firm located in Boston, MA. This position will be responsible for editing and writing short-form content, including headlines, social media copy, emails, web banners, and promotional blurbs, with a strong editorial eye and fluency in investment terminology. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in financial copyediting and copywriting within the financial services industry. This is a 3-month contract position that will pay $40-45 / hr (depending on experience) within a 40-hour work week. This position is required to be onsite 3 days per week in their Boston office.
Responsibilities
Edit and proofread a range of marketing, client-facing, and internal content for clarity, consistency, grammar, and alignment with brand voice and editorial guidelines.
Craft and refine short-form content including subject lines, taglines, headlines, social posts, display ads, and video script copy.
Partner with writers, designers, and marketers to develop compelling messaging that supports business goals and adheres to brand standards.
Ensure content complies with regulatory requirements by coordinating with Legal and Compliance teams.
Maintain and evolve the firm’s editorial style guide and tone of voice across platforms.
Edit investment-related content, balancing technical accuracy with brand and readability standards.
Prioritize multiple assignments under tight deadlines without sacrificing quality or attention to detail.
Deliver clear, constructive editorial feedback and collaborate effectively across teams.
Provide training and guidance on editorial standards to internal stakeholders.
Maintain familiarity with company products, channel communication strategies, and legal / compliance protocols.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Finance, or a related field required.
5+ years of professional experience in copyediting and copywriting, preferably in financial services.
Strong background in asset management, financial publishing, or institutional investment communications is preferred.
Excellent command of grammar, punctuation, syntax, and AP style.
Demonstrated editorial rigor with a portfolio showcasing short-form content in regulated industries.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, with knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and project management tools a plus.
Ability to manage a high volume of work while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate across functions and regions effectively.
