Security Officer - Logistics Access Control

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will be responsible for monitoring entry points and conducting routine patrols throughout the site. You will help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a visible presence and providing exceptional customer service to visitors and staff. Your communication skills will be key as you interact with individuals entering and exiting the premises, maintaining a secure environment while reflecting our company's values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity. This role is ideal for those who thrive in dynamic settings and enjoy engaging with people.

What You'll Do :

  • Monitor and control access to the facility, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors to help maintain authorized entry.
  • Assist with the implementation of security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the logistics and distribution location.
  • Provide customer service while addressing inquiries or concerns from personnel and guests at access points.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct both scheduled and random patrols of the premises and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or breaches.
  • Document and report any irregularities, security-related incidents, or suspicious activity to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and client policies.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
