Job Summary
The IT Director for Eleos will provide strategic and operational leadership for all technology services and infrastructure supporting Eleos' clinical and administrative operations. This position reports directly to the CIO. The IT director will be responsible for ensuring reliable, secure, and innovative IT systems that enable staff to deliver high quality behavioral health services.
Able to evaluate information needs of the agency, provide an action plan, and lead the implementation of projects. Develops and maintains Information Systems that meet the organizations needs, objectives, and obligations.
Essential Functions :
- Collaborate with the CIO and organizational leadership to align Eleos IT strategy with the broader SAS enterprise technology roadmap.
- Identify emerging technologies and propose solutions that enhance service delivery, operational efficiency, and data security. Considers “big picture” / Agency goals.
- Develop and manage Eleos IT annual work plan, budget, and capital investment priorities in coordination with SAS. Monitors annual budget.
- Develop disaster recovery strategies for the organization.
- Oversee daily IT operations across Eleos, including network infrastructure, cloud applications, telecommunications, and end-user support.
- Ensure effective implementation and maintenance of Electronic Health Records (EHR), case management systems, and other mission-critical applications.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for IT service delivery.
- Partner with SAS’s CIO and Information Security Officer to maintain cybersecurity readiness, incident response, and disaster recovery plans.
- Ensure IT systems comply with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, HUD, CARF, DBPR, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Manage user access controls, data privacy safeguards, and regular system audits.
- Assist with supervision and leadership of IT technical support staff, providing mentorship, performance management, and professional development.
- Coordinate with SAS’s centralized IT team to ensure shared standards and service delivery expectations are met.
- Manage IT vendor relationships, contracts, and service-level agreements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Eleos’s executives, program directors, and staff regarding IT needs and issues.
- Promote a culture of customer service, ensuring staff have reliable access to technology and responsive technical support.
- Provide regular updates to Eleos’s Chief Operating Officer, SAS CIO and Eleos’s Leadership Team.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required; Master’s preferred.Minimum of 5–10 years of progressive IT leadership experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, or housing / human services environments strongly preferred.Demonstrated success in managing IT operations, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and vendor contracts.Physical Requirements :
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.Must be able to sit, twist, bend and stand for long periods.Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard.Must be able to transport self from building to building and differing locations.Must be able to communicate orally and in writing.Special Working Conditions :
Heavy work load on some occasions. Long and unusual hours are sometime required especially during audits. Must be able to work under occasional stress
