The municipal engineer will be responsible for the organization, coordination, and control of all technical stages of project development and plan preparation. This role involves designing and analyzing traffic patterns, geometric layouts, and roadway alignments. The engineer will prepare contract plans, technical memoranda, reports, specifications, bid documents, and feasibility studies while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Additionally, the engineer will perform and coordinate planning, permitting, studies, and cost estimation for municipal projects, manage projects involving various infrastructure funding sources, and build and maintain strong client relationships by attending meetings, addressing project needs, and resolving issues throughout the project lifecycle.

Work Environment

The engineer will work in the Aurora office, reporting to the operations manager and two project managers. The company consists of 40 employees, 20 of whom are in the municipal group. The role involves office-based work on Phase I and Phase II Design for federally funded projects such as roads, utilities, and municipal roads. Most projects last 2-3 years, and the engineer will handle multiple projects simultaneously. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00 / yr.

Every employee is offered a company vehicle if interested. Stock offer salary & vehicle. Typically, for starting employees, we offer 3 weeks of PTO (personal / vacation / sick). We also offer nine (9) paid holidays.
