We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Nurse II to join our Medical Cardiology unit. In this pivotal role, you will assess, coordinate, plan, direct, implement, and manage the care of assigned patients throughout their stay, focusing on their progress toward discharge and transitions within the acute care environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery and coordination of patient care by the caregiving team, providing competent and compassionate care to patients, families, and referring facilities.

• Implement physician orders, administer medications, initiate IVs, perform treatments, procedures and special tests, and document treatments according to policy and regulations.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions.
• Assess and evaluate patients' needs and responses to care.
• Apply sound nursing judgment in managing patient care decisions.
• Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Administer both over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to create and implement a comprehensive Plan of Care for patients.
• Direct and guide ancillary personnel while upholding professional nursing standards.

Qualifications :

The Medical Cardiology unit comprises 29 beds, including 1 private room, 13 semi-private rooms, and one 4-bed room. Patients are admitted from various sources including the Emergency Department and other hospital departments. Our patient population includes individuals with diverse cardiac and medical diagnoses, ranging from young adults to geriatric patients requiring telemetry monitoring after cardiac procedures.
