OVERVIEW
The Tax Accountant assists with the administration of Partners’ tax returns and investments, related tax filings and tax research projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepares and reviews Federal and state tax returns for Partners, trusts, and foundations;
- Prepares partnership tax returns and K-1s for investment partnerships;
- Assists with the preparation of the Firm’s tax returns and related compliance;
- Assists with calculations of Partners’ quarterly estimated tax payments and extension payments; and
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master's in Taxation a plus; CPA preferred;1-2+ years of tax and accounting experience in a public accounting environment with specific experience in high-net worth individuals and partnership taxation;Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;Strong computer skills, including MS Excel and Word;Ability to research tax issues and keeping abreast of new and changing tax laws;Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of information;Capable of organizing and coordinating workflow to meet strict deadlines;Ability to work well under pressure and coordinate several activities at one time; andAvailability to work additional hours, as needed.This position is located in our New York office, and currently has a hybrid work schedule, but that is subject to change. The estimated salary range for this position is $75,000 to $95,000. The actual salary offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and where applicable, licensure or certification obtained. Market and Firm factors are also considered.
