POSITION SUMMARY :

As the Maintenance Mechanic, you will have the opportunity to ensure operating hydraulic and pneumatic machinery is maintained and operational to meet operations demands. This position will be responsible for performing a variety of duties including equipment preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and re-building of all operational equipment along with the facilities maintenance. Candidates must have a successful track record working in a fast pace, hands-on working environment with a “can do” approach and results-driven.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting experience with Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Mechanical, and electrical equipment.
  • Ability to read and follow electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information.
  • Ability to perform Installs, repairs, and maintain machinery, and equipment, and set up automated equipment.
  • Willingness to perform maintenance and support duties, both planned and unplanned.
  • Runs diagnostic tests on malfunctioning equipment and perform repairs and preventive / predictive maintenance activities in all areas of the plant.
  • Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
  • Ability to repair / install HVAC, fans, heaters, split systems, etc.
  • Ability to work with 120 / 240 lighting.
  • Understanding of LOTO
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS :

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an industrial maintenance mechanic within an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Vocational Technical diploma in Maintenance / Mechanics a plus.
  • Working experience in machining, design capability, and Integration; PLC Programing, mechanical, electronic, plumbing, hydraulic, pneumatic, and advanced electrical skills.
  • 2+ years of MIG / STICK Welding Skills.
  • Technical training; exposure to high-speed equipment.

    • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES :

  • Ability to read and understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, mechanical drawings, and procedure manuals.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems is desired.
  • Provides emergency / unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Must be willing to work overtime when necessary to keep equipment functioning to meet customer demands
  • Ability to understand and comply with LOTO standards.
  • Understands 5S for workplace organization and ISO9001 quality standards.

    Up to 5% of the time.
