Summary :
As a Lead Phlebotomist, you will guide and support a team of professionals by exhibiting advanced knowledge and fostering a collaborative work environment. Your leadership will play a crucial role in optimizing our lab services and ensuring high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities :
- Perform essential phlebotomy duties including specimen collection, equipment maintenance, clerical tasks, and supporting laboratory processing and point of care testing.
- Contribute to the creation, implementation, and assessment of departmental policies and procedures.
- Mentor and evaluate team members to enhance performance, productivity, and quality management, promoting a culture of teamwork.
- Assist in coordinating services, managing assignments, and facilitating effective problem-solving.
- Utilize critical thinking and decision-making skills to excel in a fast-paced environment while working with minimal supervision.
Requirements :
High School diploma or GED.Minimum of 3 years related experience.Completion of an accredited phlebotomy program within 1 year.Certification in phlebotomy by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent within 1 year of hire.BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer required prior to start date.Join UCHealth to make a difference.
