The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the IT systems that support this critical radar technology. This role requires expertise in networking, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and troubleshooting, as well as a strong commitment to ensuring system security and availability. This position also requires the ability to travel up to 25% of the time to support mission-critical operations. / ppAdminister and maintain systems supporting the SPY-6 radar family, ensuring optimal performance and availability. / ppPerform system troubleshooting and resolve hardware, software, and network issues as they arise. / ppConduct regular system monitoring, patch management, and performance tuning. / ppMaintain and configure Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems. / ppCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and troubleshoot radar system components. / ppImplement and maintain system security measures in accordance with DoD standards and protocols. / ppSupport network configurations, including IP address management, VLAN configurations, and Layer 3 Switches management. / ppCreate and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides. / ppTravel up to 25% of the time to domestic locations to support system installations, maintenance, and operational needs. / ppActive Top-Secret Clearance is required. / ppIAT Level I Certification or Higher (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, Security+). / ppProficiency in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration. / ppStrong understanding of networking concepts, routing protocols, and troubleshooting (e.g., OSPF, BGP, DNS, VLANs). / ppExperience diagnosing and resolving complex system and network issues. / ppWillingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time, as required. / ppExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment. / ppStrong documentation and communication skills. / ppExperience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) or military environment. / ppFamiliarity with radar systems or other defense-related technologies. / ppKnowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM). / ppExperience with configuring and managing firewalls and intrusion detection systems. / ppExperience with PowerShell, Bash and / or Python scripting. / ppFamiliarity with version control and collaboration tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, ClearCase). / ppMinimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in system administration and networking support. / ppBachelors degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. / p / div
