A valid California Driver's License and High School Diploma or valid GED. Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays. Ability to perform various physical activities, such as climbing, crawling, and lifting, from various heights. Job Summary :
The Auto Shop Mechanic performs various skilled technical services on park equipment and vehicles.
Responsibilities : Activities include :
- Performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and overhauls of vehicles of licensed highway vehicles and off highway vehicles. Must also be willing and able to perform and / or assist in other Park repairs and maintenance.
- Troubleshooting and / or perform general maintenance of mechanical devices and vehicles to assure proper function and safety.
- Working with hydraulics, gearboxes, and pneumatics.
- Must be certified in major engine overhaul
- Must be certified in front end, brake and suspension.
- Must be able to operate updated and current vehicle scanners. Must familiar with emissions controls.
