Staff Accountant

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Columbia, South Carolina. This role is crucial in managing financial transactions and ensuring accurate data entry using specialized accounting software. The ideal candidate will excel in construction accounting practices and thrive in a fast-paced environment with high invoice volumes.

Responsibilities :

• Process and code a high volume of invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company standards.
• Utilize Foundation software to manage financial transactions and maintain accurate records.
• Handle accounts payable tasks, including ACH payments, check runs, and vendor management.
• Set up and maintain customer and vendor profiles in the system.
• Review and reconcile health insurance bills and allocate costs across multiple divisions.
• Apply job costing principles to track expenses and ensure proper allocation to projects.
• Analyze and code account entries in alignment with the company's chart of accounts.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations and data integrity.
• Manage data entry tasks efficiently while working with physical documents.
• Address discrepancies and resolve issues related to invoices or payments promptly.
