Operate in a fast paced Imaging environment performing all aspects of Diagnostic Radiology. The Radiology Technologist will perform Diagnostic Testing, Interventional Procedures, participate in Surgery, and Fluoroscopy. MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS :

• Maintained BLS certification (Must be maintained while in the position)
• Technologists are required to be registered –

For Radiographic, the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists will be the credentialing organization accepted.

Perform appropriate tube warm up practices

Practice ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) methods to minimize radiation exposure to patients and coworkers

Evaluate the physicians order for accuracy

Radiology Technologist

MAIN FUNCTION :

Radiologic Technologists assist the Radiologist / Physician with the process of imaging and diagnosing illness. Radiologic Technologist job descriptions include tasks such as : capturing the image, obtaining the best quality image, and ensuring the patients are comfort and safe. The Rad Tech must be able to effectively explain the procedure to the patient. In addition, be sure that they are comfortable and at ease during the procedure; however, it is very important that they do what is necessary to obtain a high quality image that will be sufficient for thorough examination by the physician and allow for correct diagnosis.
