What You'll Do:

• Prepare the operating room and supplies according to surgeon preferences, ensuring all instruments and materials are ready before procedures.
• Scrub for various surgical cases, including orthopedics, plastics, plastics, gynecology, ENT, oral, and more, displaying proficiency in sterile techniques.
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments, sutures, sponges, and other sterile supplies swiftly and accurately.
• Observe sterile protocols, help with draping, hold retractors, and respond proactively to the needs of the surgical team.
• Manage surgical specimens, perform counts of sponges, needles, and instruments to ensure safety, and assist with sterile dressings post-operation.
• Support circulating nurses with their duties, including room cleaning, instrument sterilization, and supply organization.
• Serve as a resource and preceptor for new staff and students, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
• Stay current with the latest surgical techniques and equipment through ongoing education and training.

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience as a Surgical Tech, preferably in orthopedic or multi-specialty settings.
• Proficiency in scrubbing for various surgical procedures with a strong understanding of sterile techniques.
• Knowledge of surgical instruments, supplies, and OR protocols.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to anticipate surgeons' needs and work efficiently under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with team members, patients, and staff.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience in cross-training across multiple surgical specialties.
• Familiarity with electronic health records and inventory management systems.
• Certifications such as Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) are not required but are a plus.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program, usually a one-year post-high school program.
• 2+ years of surgical tech experience in a similar outpatient or hospital setting.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work day shifts, 5 days a week, from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with no nights, weekends, or major holidays required.
