About the Accountant Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and versatile Accountant to join a growing accounting services firm. This position will play a key role in managing day-to-day accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in QuickBooks and a passion for delivering accurate, timely financial support to clients.

Key Responsibilities of the Accountant

Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable (AP) : process vendor invoices, verify approvals, prepare and issue payments.

Oversee Accounts Receivable (AR) : create and send invoices, monitor aging reports, and follow up on outstanding payments.

Process Payroll accurately and on time, including data entry, employee changes, and compliance with federal and state regulations.

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.

Assist in month-end close, journal entries, and financial reporting.

Respond to client inquiries regarding billing, payroll, and account status.

Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and applicable regulations.

Support ad hoc projects and provide administrative accounting support as needed.

Accountant Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred but not required).

2+ years of experience as an Accountant, including AP, AR, and payroll.

Proficiency with QuickBooks is required.

Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles (GAAP).

Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.

Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.

Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
