Submit claims to insurance companies for reimbursement, ensuring accuracy. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current coding regulations and billing practices. Ensure compliance with healthcare laws and regulations related to billing and coding. Communicate with insurance companies and patients to resolve billing issues or discrepancies. Use medical billing software to track and process claims efficiently. Work closely with healthcare providers to clarify codes or treatment details when necessary. High school diploma or equivalent; medical billing or coding certification preferred. At least 2 years of experience in medical billing and coding, family practice setting preferred. Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and insurance claim submission processes. Proficiency with medical billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
