The Role We Want You For

The Payroll Processor is responsible for collecting timekeeping information and issuing pay-related information to employees. Creates and distributes paychecks in accordance with hours worked and corrects paycheck errors.

The Specifics of the Role

  • Reviewing timesheets and processing union and non-union payroll for our concrete construction company, Concrete Strategies, on a weekly basis.
  • Process termination / separation final wage payments in accordance with State regulated timeframes.
  • Maintain Payroll operations by following policies and procedures.
  • Maintain employee confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Resolve Payroll discrepancies by gathering and analyzing information.
  • Maintain Payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
  • Prepare and submit weekly / monthly union reports.
  • Prepare and submit Certified Payroll reports on a weekly basis.
  • Perform various account reconciliations and analysis.
  • Special projects-other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years payroll experience required.
  • Construction and union payroll required.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel.
  • JD Edwards experience a plus.
  • The ability to function effectively in a highly entrepreneurial environment, both as a team player and independently.
  • Ability work to work in a fast-paced setting, with weekly deadlines.
  • Must be very detail oriented and able to organize and prioritize time.
