[job_card.job_description]12 Hour Shifts expected to be on site for the FULL duration of shift Assignment Details 12 Hour Shifts (8pm-8am OR 6pm 6am) expected to be on site for the FULL duration of shift Number of encounters per shift typically average around 10 (encounters could include Inpatient Consultations) Must be able to admit patients from the ER as quickly and efficiently as possible (this metric is tracked). Once contacted by the ER for an Admission, the Provider is expected to place an order for admission in Will be working with 3 additional Physicians and 1 APP each shift. The APP is primarily responsible for cross coverage (not admitting) of the entire Hospitalist service, average census of 250 patients. If contact by the APP regarding a cross-cover issue, the Physician is expected to respond promptly and as appropriate. Expected to attend any CODE BLUEs for Hospitalist patients, although they are not considered a formal member of the Code Team. When called upon, Physician is also expected to attend any In-House Stroke Alert. Physician will be educated about this process during orientation. No procedures : however, Physician needs to be comfortable with noninvasive ventilation modalities. Night Intensivist Coverage on site EMR : EPIC (go live on December 3, 2022)
