TRIGO Global Quality Solutions has one immediate opening for a Quality Inspector in Lafayette IN.

This is a 2nd shift job that pays $17.00 / hr + $1.00 / hr shift premium = $18.00 / hr.

Reports to

Site Supervisor / Site Leads

Quality Inspector Responsibilities

(To include but not limited to the following)

Client Relationship & Business Development

  • The Quality Inspector acts as an impartial third party between the production source and the customer facility to ensure the product meets set criteria.

Operations

  • The Quality Inspector performs quality inspection / quality audits on incoming material using hand gaging and visual techniques to determine conformance to specifications and fitness for use.
  • Contains non-conforming parts and / or sub-assemblies.
  • Rectifies non-conforming material by rework, sorting and / or scrapping as directed by Team Leader.
  • Uses methods such as de-rusting, grinding, drilling, tapping, assembly and / or disassembly to rectify non-conforming material.
  • Determines the tools and equipment needed to do the job.
  • Grinds, sands, cleans and oils parts and / or sub-assemblies by using hand tools or equipment.

    • Organization & Management

  • Communicate sort / inspection results to managers, supervisors and production source.

    • Technical

  • MUST be able to use basic hand tools such as gaging, drills, taps, grinders and / or sanders to repair and / or clean parts and / or sub-assemblies.
  • Utilize company portal for time recording and policy acknowledgements.

  • 1+ year in Quality related position.
  • Basic knowledge of materials and production processes.
  • Basic knowledge of quality control methods.
