Job Description Summary
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the Ambulatory Infusion Center provides direct patient care, administers IV / IM / SC therapies, manages infusion-related care plans, and ensures safe and effective treatment in alignment with evidence-based clinical practice. The NP is responsible for using their licensure to obtain and maintain payer credentialing and reimbursement eligibility for the organization.

Job Responsibilities (listed in order of importance and / or time spent)
- Provide comprehensive, hands-on patient care including assessments, physical exams, and treatment of infusion therapy-related conditions.
- Prescribe and manage medications related to infusion care, in compliance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements.
- Order and interpret labs, diagnostics, and therapy-specific tests.
- Oversee and perform IV, IM, and SC medication administration and monitor for side effects or adverse events.
- Create, document, and update individualized infusion care plans and maintain thorough, timely documentation in the EHR.
- Conduct initial patient evaluations for therapy appropriateness, including payer criteria and clinical suitability for infusion center setting.
- Maintain open, timely communication with medical directors, referring physicians, and interdisciplinary staff regarding care coordination.
- Identify urgent or emergent reactions during infusion, initiate appropriate interventions, and coordinate emergency transfers when necessary.
- Serve as a clinical leader within the infusion center team; provide guidance to infusion nurses and support staff on patient care and clinical protocols.
- Support patient education, counseling, and safe transition of care across healthcare settings.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and operational planning efforts across the infusion center.
- Participate in credentialing and contracting processes by maintaining all payer-required licenses and individual NPI enrollment linked to the organization’s Tax ID.
- Perform duties in compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, ACHC, and all applicable federal and state guidelines.

Basic Education and / or Experience Requirements
Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner programActive and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the practicing stateBoard certification as an NP (FNP, AGNP, or applicable specialty)Current BLS certificationMinimum 1 year of NP experience in a clinical settingPrior experience with IV therapy or infusion servicesProficient in electronic health record (EHR) systemsCredentialing-ready : must maintain licensure and provide payer documentation for billing and reimbursementPreferred

Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Pay Range is $97,113.10-$161,862.67
