We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to oversee the construction and development of new and existing cold storage facilities in the South East.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Industrial, Manufacturing or Cold Storage Construction a proven track record of managing construction projects from conception to completion, and a strong ability to manage budgets, timelines, and multiple stakeholders. This is a crucial role that will ensure our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Project Leadership : Lead and manage all phases of self-storage construction projects, including planning, design, permitting, construction, and closeout.
- Budget & Cost Control : Develop, manage, and monitor project budgets, ensuring all costsincluding materials, labor, and permit are tracked and aligned with project goals. Proactively identify and resolve potential budget overruns.
- Vendor & Contractor Management : Vet, select, and manage relationships with third-party suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors. Negotiate contracts and ensure all parties adhere to project specifications and quality standards.
- Scheduling & Timeline Management : Create and maintain detailed project schedules and timelines, ensuring all milestones are met. Identify and mitigate potential delays to keep projects on track.
- Communication & Reporting : Serve as the primary point of contact between internal teams, external contractors, and stakeholders. Provide regular, detailed progress reports on project status, budget, and potential issues.
- Risk Management : Identify and assess project risks and develop proactive strategies to minimize their impact.
- Quality Assurance : Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure construction quality meets company and industry standards. Oversee the final punch list and project closeout process.
- Permitting & Compliance : Navigate and manage the entire permitting process with local and state authorities in Atlanta and the surrounding areas. Ensure all projects comply with relevant building codes and regulations.
Qualifications :
4-10+ years of progressive experience in Project Management within the construction industry.Demonstrated experience in Design & Build construction methodology is mandatoryExperience with Manufacturing Facilities, Large Scale Warehouse or Cold Storage FacilitiesThorough knowledge of construction means, methods, materials, and systems for industrial buildings.
