We are seeking a Podiatry Nurse Practitioner to become a part of our team! You will focus on providing high quality patient care as part of a healthcare team. Start Date : January 2024

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

• Assess patient foot health by interviewing patients; performing physical foot examinations; and obtaining, updating, and reviewing medical histories.
• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses
• Determine abnormal foot conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests such as x-rays and laboratory studies.
• Interpret test results of diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments
• Perform therapeutic foot procedures by suturing, and managing wounds and infections.
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities as warranted
• Communicate with referring provider or specialist regarding patient care
• Counsel patients and caregivers by describing therapeutic regimens and promoting foot wellness and foot health maintenance.
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
• Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records and employee / co-worker information.
• Additional Responsibilities and tasks as assigned.
• No Overnight Calls

TRAVEL :

Home Visits : 100% travel.

Office Visits : No travel required.

Combination : 3 days office 2 days home visits

SCHEDULE : 8 hour shift, 40 hours / week.

WORK LOCATION : Provide podiatry care in office, at patient's private homes, assisted living, senior centers, and other locations.

We deliver foot care that is holistic, inclusive and empowering for you and your family. Our providers specializes in trimming various types of toenails, removal of calluses and corns, treating simple wounds, and evaluating foot and toe pain.

In addition to caring for the feet, we remove cerumen (ear wax) and trim fingernails for patients who are unable to perform them independently.
