Senior Network Engineer

Job Description

Geeksoft Consulting is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, secure, and support robust enterprise network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to lead network initiatives in complex, multi-site environments.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain enterprise LAN / WAN / WLAN environments

Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers

Monitor network performance, ensure high availability, and troubleshoot issues

Lead network upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning initiatives

Implement and enforce network security best practices and compliance standards

Work with vendors and service providers for network services and support

Document network architecture, standards, and operational procedures

Provide guidance and support to junior network engineers

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

10+ years of experience as a Network Engineer

Strong knowledge of TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and QoS

Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking devices

Strong experience with firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA, etc.)

Solid understanding of network security concepts and tools

Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Knowledge of SD-WAN and network automation tools

Experience with monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, Splunk)

Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent

Experience working in a consulting or client-facing environment

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
