We're looking for a
- fully back-end
- engineer (no full-stack / front-end) to join our Theme Park Microservices team. This group is responsible for building and evolving REST microservices that power a large-scale systems integration initiative. Many internal product teams depend on these services, so reliability, scalability, and clean API design are paramount.
You'll work hands-on with
Node.jsandTypeScript, design and implement RESTful APIs, and collaborate across architecture and quality engineering (QE) to ensure services meet specifications and performance standards.What You'll Do
Design, build, and maintainRESTful APIs, modules, and reusable packages using Node.js & TypeScript.DocumentAPIs and service contracts; contribute to internal libraries and standards.Own qualityvia unit tests and TDD practices; ensure high coverage and maintainability.Collaborateclosely with Architecture, QE, and cross-functional teams in aScaled Agileenvironment (participate in Agile ceremonies).Monitor and evolveservices for performance, scalability, and reliability (observability-first mindset).Support integrationefforts and guide dependent teams on consuming microservices correctly.Required Qualifications
3-4 yearsexperience buildingRESTful APIsand microservices using :Node.jsandTypeScript(deep fluency required)JavaScript(modern ES features)Express.jsor similar Node frameworksGit(GitHub / GitLab) for version control, PR workflows, and code reviewsStrong experience withNoSQL databases(e.g.,MongoDBCouchDB), data modeling, and performance considerations.Demonstrated practice inUnit Testing / TDD(e.g., Jest, Mocha, Chai).Solid understanding of API standards (HTTP, status codes, error handling, authentication / authorization).Strict requirement :This is aback-end onlyrole.Front-end or full-stackprofiles willnotbe considered.Nice-to-Have Skills
Dockerand containerization best practices.Kubernetesfor orchestration and service deployment.Experience withElastic(Elasticsearch) for search / observability.Familiarity withJSONschema design and validation, and OpenAPI / Swagger documentation.CI / CD exposure (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) and code quality gates.How You'll Work
