The Safety Manager plays a key role in supporting the development, implementation, and execution of the Electrical Safety Program. This position focuses on ensuring safety compliance across various electrical and construction projects, standardizing safety procedures and documentation, and fostering a culture of safety through training, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Safety Manager will work closely with site personnel to maintain a safe working environment while adhering to industry regulations and company policies.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities :

• Develop and manage comprehensive safety programs for electrical and construction (transmission, distribution, substations) projects.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, DOT, ANSI, NESC, and other industry regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
• Lead electrical safety training programs for field crews, supervisors, and leadership teams.
• Conduct job site safety audits and risk assessments, identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective actions.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses, providing root cause analysis and strategies for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to integrate safety into project planning and execution.
• Promote a proactive safety culture, ensuring all employees and subcontractors are engaged in best practices.
• Engagement with trade and industry associations.

Requirements

Travel : Can be up to 50% depending on project load. Position is based in Overland Park, KS with travel to project sites as needed to support the projects and inspections. Projects will have Safety Coordinator on site as a project assignment.

The Safety Manager base salary is between $130,000 - $170,000.
