We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and vehicle maintenance, with experience working in a dealership environment. This position requires a commitment to high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service skills. The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related systems to ensure optimal performance.

Duties

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines and related systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs, including brake repair, shocks, and struts.
• Fabricate parts as needed to ensure proper functioning of vehicles.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues within diesel engines.
• Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment safely while performing repairs.
• Collaborate with team members to improve service efficiency and quality.

Experience

• Proven experience in diesel engine repair and vehicle maintenance is essential.
• Familiarity with Caterpillar engines is highly desirable.
• Previous experience working in a dealership setting is preferred.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems related to diesel engines.
• Ability to fabricate parts and components as necessary for repairs.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Experience operating forklifts safely in a workshop environment.
