Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU night shift assignment in a Level 1 Trauma setting in Ohio, requiring ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) of a hospital
  • Level 1 Trauma environment with telemetry and ventilator patient care
  • Night shifts available : two 12-hour shifts (19 : 00–07 : 30) and two 8-hour shifts (23 : 00–07 : 30) per week
  • Required to work 1-2 weekends per 4-week schedule
  • Must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after contract signing as part of onboarding
  • Responsibilities include post-anesthesia recovery care and management of high-acuity patients
  • Locals are accepted for this position at the same rate
  • Time off requests must be submitted with the initial application
  • Professional attire or scrub requirements will be communicated upon assignment

    • Requirements

  • Current RN license in Ohio or compact state license required at time of consideration
  • ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Experience in Level 1 Trauma setting necessary
  • Ability to monitor telemetry and manage ventilated patients required
  • Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
  • Two professional references required, including one from a supervisor or manager
  • Must not be a current employee of any Ohio State University hospital location
  • Former employees are eligible if separated from the facility for at least 6 months
