Position Title : Business Intelligence Developer - Senior

Special Skillset :

Company seeks a skilled and motivated Senior Power BI and IBM Cognos Report Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be vital in understanding existing reports, loading the data into Power BI, data transformation, modeling, creating visually appealing and interactive reports and dashboards, and contributing to data-driven decision-making processes.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement Power BI solutions to meet the organization's reporting and analytical needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into effective visualizations.
  • Understanding of business processes and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards using best practices.
  • Extensive expertise in Power BI, including complex data modeling, DAX scripting, and optimizing performance.
  • Experience with Power Query for data transformation.
  • Knowledge of data import and live connections.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity within Power BI solutions.
  • Familiarity with Power BI Service features, including sharing, collaboration, and administration.
  • Experience managing end-to-end Power BI projects, from requirements gathering to deployment.
  • Experience in designing and developing new enterprise reports and dashboards using IBM Cognos.
  • Experience with Cognos application in a development and production environment
  • Experience in working with multi-dimensional and relational reporting structures.
  • Experience creating and maintaining reports and creating SQL queries for data analysis.
  • bility to understand and update current reports designed in IBM Cognos.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in Power BI and business intelligence.

Qualifications :

  • Proven experience as a senior Power BI Developer.
  • Proficient in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and related tools.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, transformation, and visualization techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    • Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Computer Science, Information Technology, etc.).
  • Certification in Power BI is a plus.
  • Lumen and / or its clients will not provide equipment (Laptop, monitor, etc.) to the selected contractor. The contractor must have their own equipment. Access to a virtual desktop set up (software) will be provided by Lumen's client, allowing the user access to the required systems and technology.
