First Coast Veterinary Specialists & Emergency  located in Jacksonville Beach, FL is searching for a  Veterinary Technician  to join our  Emergency Service !   Compensation :

  • $23 - $25 / hr, based on experience and applicable licensure Schedule : Full-time,   10-hour or 12-hour shifts   Evening and Overnight Shifts available.

    • About you :

  • You are an experienced Veterinary Technician dedicated to  outstanding client service and excellent patient care .
  • You understand the importance of maintaining a  positive, respectful, uplifting hospital culture  and genuinely love working with people that share that same value.
  • You can adapt to the individual needs of each patient, are eager to continue enhancing your skill set, and  truly want to make a difference .

    • Emergency Technician duties include, but are not limited to :

  • Triaging emergencies, phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, and nursing care of hospitalized patients Performing in-house laboratory or diagnostic tests Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and assisting with emergency and / or surgical procedures The Ideal Candidate : Minimum 2 years of previous Veterinary experience required, preferably in Emergency Medicine.
  • LVT or CVT prioritized but not required.  Ability to Triage and Assess patients, and respond accordingly while critically thinking and maintaining a calm demeanor in stressful situations Flexibility to work in different areas of the hospital (Cross Training) Dependable, Knowledgeable, Experienced, Detail Oriented Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus.
