About the Opportunity :
Our client, a leader in the Enterprise Technology and Finance sector, is looking for a skilled Oracle FDI Developer / Analyst to join their team for a 6-month engagement. This project involves leading the full lifecycle implementation and enablement of Oracle Finance Data Intelligence (FDI) to modernize reporting and analytics across their finance, accounting, and procurement functions. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables :
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include :
- Business Discovery & Analysis : Lead requirements workshops with FP&A, Accounting, and Procurement. Translate business needs into well-formed user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics.
- Data Modeling & Development : Design and implement robust data models, data pipelines, and semantic layers within Oracle Finance Data Intelligence.
- Reporting & Analytics : Build and configure reports, dashboards, and self-service datasets, including implementing drill paths, prompts / filters, and row-level security / data entitlements.
- Quality & Migration : Establish data quality checks, build and maintain documentation, conduct thorough User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and manage production migrations.
- Enablement & Adoption : Run demos and showcases for finance leadership, create playbooks and training materials (how-to guides, release notes, KPI definitions) to drive user adoption and self-service analytics.
Required Skills & Experience :
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have :
5+ years of experience in a similar role focused on financial data systems or business intelligence.Deep expertise in implementing and configuring Oracle Financial Data Intelligence (FDI). This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.Strong financial acumen with a deep understanding of financial metrics and KPIs such as revenue, COGS, operating expenses, cash flow, AP / AR aging, and procurement cycle times.Proven ability to design and build data models, semantic layers, and reporting solutions within the Oracle FDI ecosystem.Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, lead requirements gathering sessions with finance stakeholders, and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.Experience with data quality checks, UAT, and managing the full development and migration lifecycle.Strong communication skills to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences and provide clear and concise status updates to the project team.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with Oracle Cloud Financials (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement).Familiarity with Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), OTBI, or Oracle Business Intelligence.Background working directly with FP&A teams on budgeting, forecasting, or financial planning processes.Knowledge of Agile methodologies and iterative delivery practices.CBAP, PMP, or relevant Oracle certifications.
