Training Support Specialist

The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, Prince George's County Department of Parks and Recreation, Management Services Division, Training & Organizational Development, is currently seeking a Training Support Specialist for a seasonal position. This position joins an award-winning team of three Senior Training and Organizational Development Specialists and a Lead Training and Organizational Specialist (the Team Leader). The position would be managed by one of the Senior Training and Organizational Development Specialists. The primary responsibility for this position would be to assist in the execution of the Training and Organizational Development Unit's training program.

This position will pay at a rate of $16.91 / hr. $23.34 / hr based on qualifications and experience. The maximum hours are capped at 30 per week.

Examples of Important Duties :

• Assist with the logistics of the delivery of our courses (e.g., creating courses on Learning Central, our LMS powered by Cornerstone, uploading attendance for completed courses, assisting with marketing).
• Review our current monitoring and evaluation practices for our training courses.
• Research best practices in monitoring and evaluating training programs using the Kirkpatrick Framework.
• Propose improvements in how we can more comprehensively collect data on the outcomes and impact of our training, including how we would conduct a Return on Investment (ROI) evaluation of a selection of training courses within the Department.
• Other responsibilities may include providing support to our Senior Training and Organizational Development Specialists in their organizational development activities supporting teams and divisions, and any other tasks where support is needed.
